Father Hector's father was a career Army artillery officer, and the family moved often, from Germany to Japan and five states in between. The constant in this, he says, was the Episcopal Church, which gave him a keen understanding of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
After receiving his B.A. in Economics from Claremont Men's College, Claremont,
California, Father Hector served as an Army Finance Officer before entering Seabury-Western
Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois. He was ordained to the priesthood on
December 8, 1973, in Chicago. In 2003, he received his Doctor of Ministry degree
from Seabury. Father Hector and his wife, Barbara, who has a B.A. in Home Economics
from the University of Northern Colorado and an M.A. in Christian Education from
Seabury, were married on August 24, 1974. Their three grown sons are following
careers of their own. The Hectors first were in Mineral
Point from 1977 to 1987, and in 2006, they returned to serve Trinity again,
in the town where Wisconsin began.
THE PARISH OFFICE (aka the Rectory) is open whenever Father Hector is at home; at other times you may call and leave a voice mail message. Father Hector is glad to visit with parishioners, either at home or at the office. Please call him at 608.987.3019 to arrange a time.
